Over the past three weeks, we dealt primarily with Benn's relationship with his father Gustav Benn. Before we had always wanted again, noticed that this relationship has shaped Benn in his Wesenart strong. Gustav Benn, minister and himself the son of a pastor, was one of the Blumhardt community , it's a strictly pietistic evangelical community. His life was so dominated mainly by a very strong devotion.
As the mother of Gustav Benn became ill with breast cancer, she had a very hard ordeal to go as Benn's father his son was not allowed to administer the mother's pain relieving drugs. He just said, God will help her, not a doctor. From this central conflict was a hatred of the father.
