weblogs can be characterized by different properties:
- wants to and after the content-type

on the media types and the organizational form of blogs go I in more detail below - according to media types,
- the form of organization
. But because there are so many different types of blogs I want to present only a selection of which:

first Media Types
text blog: A text blog is a weblog (mostly or exclusively) contains text contributions.
Photo Blog: A photo blog is a weblog (mostly or exclusively) includes photo contributions.
Moblog: A moblog is a weblog that by a mobile telecommunications device, usually a mobile phone or PDA, is filled with content. The term is composed of the words mobile words (English for mobile phone) and a blog. Strictly speaking, a moblog no separate media type, but a kind of transmission of content through mobile means.
Audio Blog: An audio blog is a weblog (mostly or exclusively) contains audio reports.
Vlog: A Vlog is a blog that is (mostly or exclusively) contains video posts. The term is composed of the words and video blog.
Link Blog: Link A blog is a weblog that contains only links. These are usually ordered only by Tags or Keywords annotated or categorized, but not detailed comments. The term is composed of the words link and blog.

second Organization
Private Blog: A Private blog is run by a private individual. It is the most common Form of a weblog.
Corporate Blog: A corporate blog is run by a company, government agency or a non-governmental organization NGO and with their logo and / or names declared clear as a communication tool holder. Corporate blogs can have different functions, from the Knowledge-Blog (one company sets up this site to showcase his staff operations and renewals) on the project blog (a project is documented on the blog: from idea to the realization to the end everything will be listed on the blog) to the crises blog (as an offer of company employees to blog on the crisis their problems and concerns anonymously write down and thus can be solved).
Both the private blog and the corporate blog can be made on an individual blog or group blog.
Both forms can also be made available through a restrictive read / write permission only to a limited audience circle. For example, a Knowledge-Blog-Blog or project only to the employees of a company or even a department respectively, a project group accessible (cf. Kruse asterisk).
